Jeff Epstein, our Co-Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary since inception, has since 2011 been an operating partner with Bessemer Venture Partners, a venture capital firm, where he primarily works with chief executive and financial officers to create substantial operating improvements. In addition, he served as the Co-Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Apex Technology Acquisition Corporation (NASDAQ: APXT), a blank-check company that consummated an initial business combination with AvePoint, Inc. on July 1, 2021. Mr. Epstein serves on the board of directors of AvePoint, Inc. following the business combination. Earlier, Mr. Epstein served for over 20 years as chief financial officer of several companies, including Oracle Corporation, DoubleClick and King World Productions. Mr. Epstein specializes in B2B software companies and online marketplaces. Mr. Epstein currently serves on the board of directors of Okta, a leading independent provider of identity for the enterprise, Twilio, a cloud communications platform company, Poshmark, a fashion marketplace, and Couchbase, a modern database for enterprise applications. Mr. Epstein also previously served on the board of directors for Booking Holdings, an online travel marketplace, between 2003 and 2019, during which time its market capitalization grew from $1 billion to $80 billion. Mr. Epstein graduated from Yale College, summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar.
Brad Koenig, our Co-Chief Executive Officer and a Director since inception, served as the Co-Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Apex Technology Acquisition Corporation (NASDAQ: APXT), a blank-check company that consummated an initial business combination with AvePoint, Inc. on July 1, 2021. Mr. Koenig co-founded and served as chief executive officer of FoodyDirect.com, an online specialty food marketplace, from 2011 until 2018 when the company was acquired by Goldbelly, Inc. Mr. Koenig has served as an independent director for Theragenics Corporation, a private medical device company serving the surgical products and prostate cancer treatment markets, since 2013 and as a director of Hercules Capital, a business development company focused on venture lending, where he serves on the Audit and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees, since 2017. From 2009 to 2011, he was an advisor at Oak Hill Capital Management, a private equity firm. Previously, Mr. Koenig worked for over twenty years at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Koenig was the Head of Global Technology Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs from 1990 to 2005, and the Co-Head of Global Technology, Media and Telecommunications from 2002 to 2005. He started at Goldman Sachs in 1984. Mr. Koenig holds a B.A degree in Economics from Dartmouth College and M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Due to his extensive technology-related operational and investment banking experience, we believe Mr. Koenig is well qualified to serve as a Director.
Stephen CuUnjieng, one of our Directors , has been serving as a Director of AvePoint, Inc., which consummated a business combination with Apex, since February 2020. Mr. CuUnjieng is a seasoned financier who has served as Chairman of Evercore Asia Limited, from 2011 to 2020. Mr. CuUnjieng currently serves as an independent director of First Philippine Holdings Corporation, a position he has held since May 2018, and previously served as an independent director at Aboitiz Equity Ventures from 2010 to May 2018. From 2008 to 2017, Mr. CuUnjieng served as an Adviser to the Board of SM Investments Corporation. Mr. CuUnjieng earned an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree as well as a bachelor of laws degree from Ateneo de Manila University. Due to his extensive experience serving as a board member on a number of companies and in the financial services industry, we believe Mr. CuUnjieng is well qualified to serve as a Director.
Donna Wells, one of our Directors , served as a Director of Apex Technology Acquisition Corporation (NASDAQ: APXT), a blank-check company that consummated an initial business combination with AvePoint, Inc. on July 1, 2021. Ms. Wells is a serial entrepreneur, an experienced public and private company board director and an innovator in the financial services, FinTech and cloud software industries. Since 2017, she has been the founder and chief executive officer at Valencia Ventures, LLC, a provider of strategic consulting advice that assists founding teams in capital raising activities. From 2010 to 2017, Ms. Wells was chief executive officer of Mindflash Technologies Inc., a private enterprise software company which she grew from product launch to market leadership, and which was named a Top 50 Small Company to Work for by Fortune Magazine in 2016. Before leading Mindflash, she was the founding chief marketing officer for Mint.com, a personal finance platform, from 2007 to 2009, during which time she was instrumental from launch to the company’s acquisition by Intuit, Inc. (NASDAQ:INTU). Prior to Mint, Ms. Wells had a 20-year career in strategic B2C, B2B and product marketing with The American Express Company (NYSE:AXP) and The Charles Schwab Corporation (NYSE:SCHW) and led marketing for two Fortune 500 companies, Intuit, Inc. (NASDAQ:INTU) and Expedia Group (NASDAQ:EXPE). Ms. Wells has served as a director of Walker & Dunlop (NYSE: WD), a commercial real estate financer since March of 2021. She has served as a director at Betterment, an online investment company, since 2018 and Happy Money, a private financial services company, since 2017. She has served as a board advisor at Mitek Systems, Inc., a software company providing digital identity verification (NASDAQ: MITK) from 2017 to November 2019 at which time she was appointed as a director and has continued to serve as a director since such date, also serving on its compensation and audit committees. She was previously a director at Boston Private Financial Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BPFH), a bank holding company, from 2014 to 2018. She holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University and a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Due to her extensive financial industry, investment and technology experience, we believe Ms. Wells is well qualified to serve as a Director.
David York is one of our Directors . Mr. York is a serial financier and experienced venture capitalist. Mr. York has been serving as Managing Director and member of the Investment Committee and Management Committee at Top Tier Capital Partners since its inception in 2011. Mr. York also leads the Corporate Development team at Top Tier Capital Partners. His thirty plus years of industry knowledge and networks equip him to be a liaison to the broader venture community. From 2000 to 2011, Mr. York was General Partner, chief executive officer, Managing Director and member of the Investment Committee and Management Committee at Paul Capital Investments since 2000, which spun out in 2011 to form Top Tier Capital Partners. Before leading Paul Capital Investments, he was a Managing Director at Chase H&Q, where he ran Equity Capital Markets Liquidity. From 1994 to 1999, Mr. York ran Venture Services for Hambrecht & Quist, a San Francisco-based, technology-focused investment bank. Mr. York is an active board member at the National Venture Capital Association, the voice of the US venture capital and startup community, and the Nonprofit Enterprise and Self-sustainability Team, a developer of sustainable social enterprises. He holds a B.S. in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the University of Southern California. Due to his extensive financial industry, investment and technology experience, we believe Mr. York is well qualified to serve as a Director.

Alex Vieux is the chief executive officer of Herring International, a Belgian corporation. Over the last 35 years, he has worked with and engaged C-suite executives from five continents, scouting disruptive companies later embraced by the markets. Red Herring has ranked the most prominent startups in the global technology industry and featured them in its publication since 1993. Many of the Red Herring “Top 100” end up being acquired or going public. Mr. Vieux started his career at Arthur Andersen/Accenture. Then he co-founded two technology companies, C•ATS Software and Renaissance Software, both fintech startups that either went public or were sold in the 1990’s. He also founded ETRE, The European Technology Roundtable Exhibition, a yearly forum assembling 800 technology world leaders. He was elected on the board of directors of Tandem Computers and Computer Associates (listed on NYSE) Checkpoint Software, Commerce One, and Qualys (listed on NASDAQ) as well as dozens of private companies. He served as an advisor to ChaSerg Technology Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: CTAC), a blank-check company which consummated its initial business combination in March 2020, and served as an advisor to Apex Technology Acquisition Corporation (NASDAQ: APXT), a blank-check company that consummated an initial business combination with AvePoint, Inc. on July 1, 2021, E.Merge Technology Acquisition Corp. Steven Fletcher advised numerous technology companies on mergers, acquisitions and other strategic transactions in his 24 year career as an investment banker. Mr. Fletcher worked in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs for more than eight years, where he held a number of leadership roles including head of Information Technology Services banking, head of Systems and Storage banking and head of the Private Placement Group. In 2003, he helped to start a new investment bank, GCA (formerly known as Savvian LLC), which has grown to over 400 professionals. Mr. Fletcher was a member of GCA’s U.S. management committee and head of the software group and co-head of the digital media group. Mr. Fletcher has worked on transactions with companies including some of the biggest names in the technology industry as well as hundreds of growth and middle-market technology companies. He served as an advisor to ChaSerg Technology Acquisition Corp. (NASDAQ: CTAC), a blank-check company which consummated its initial business combination in March 2020, served as an advisor to Apex Technology Acquisition Corporation (NASDAQ: APXT), a blank-check company that consummated an initial business combination with AvePoint, Inc. on July 1, 2021, E.Merge Technology Acquisition Corp.
