Leadership
Peter Chernin has been serving as our Chairman of the Board since February 2021. Additionally, Mr. Chernin currently serves as the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TCG 1.0, which he co-founded in 2010, a Partner of TCG, which he co-founded in 2018, and Chief Executive Officer of Chernin Entertainment, which he founded in 2009. Previously, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of News Corporation from 1996 to 2009, and as Chief Executive Officer of the Fox Group from 1996 to 2009. Mr. Chernin serves on the board of directors of American Express Company and as a Co-Chairman of the University of California, Berkeley’s Board of Visitors. Previously, Mr. Chernin served on the board of directors of Pandora Media, Inc. from 2011 to 2016 and Twitter, Inc. from 2012 to 2016. Mr. Chernin holds a B.A. in English literature from the University of California, Berkeley. We believe Mr. Chernin is well qualified to serve on our board of directors given his extensive leadership and public company governance experience and his expertise in the media, technology and entertainment sectors.
Jesse Jacobs has been serving as our Co-Chief Executive Officer since February 2021 and director since November 2020. Additionally, Mr. Jacobs currently serves as a Partner of TCG 1.0, which he co-founded in 2010, and as a Partner of TCG, which he co-founded in 2018. Previously, Mr. Jacobs was a senior member of the media, entertainment, and sports advisory, investing and financing team at Goldman Sachs from 2013 to 2019. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Jacobs worked for Fox Sports in television production from 1997 to 1999, and CBS Sports in the 1998 Olympics, Yahoo! Internet Life from 1999 to 2000 and as Head of Content for IFILM from 2000 to 2002. Mr. Jacobs holds a B.A. in English and Communications from the University of Pennsylvania as well as an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. We believe Mr. Jacobs is well qualified to serve on our board of directors based on his extensive leadership and business experience and his expertise in the media and entertainment sectors.
Mike Kerns has been serving as our Co-Chief Executive Officer since February 2021. Mr. Kerns currently serves as a Partner of TCG 1.0, which he joined in 2015, and a Partner of TCG, which he co-founded in 2018. Previously, from 2010 to 2012, Mr. Kerns served as Vice President, Social and Personalization and from 2012 to 2015, as Senior Vice President, Homepage, Video, and Global Media Properties at Yahoo!, Prior to joining Yahoo!, Mr. Kerns founded Citizen Sports in the beginning of 2004 and served as its Chief Operating Officer until 2006 and as its Chief Executive Officer from 2006 until it was acquired by Yahoo! in 2010. Mr. Kerns began his career in 2000 as an Associate at Angel Investors, L.P. before transitioning to Steinberg & Moorad Sports Management in 2001, where he served as the Chief of Staff. Mr. Kerns holds a B.A. in History from University of California, Los Angeles. We believe Mr. Kerns is well qualified to serve on our board of directors based on his extensive leadership and business experience and his expertise in the media and entertainment sectors.
Jennifer Randle has been serving as our Chief Financial Officer since February 2021. Additionally, Ms. Randle is currently serving as Executive Vice President of Finance & Operations at TCG 1.0, which she joined in April 2012, and as Executive Vice President of Finance & Operations at TCG, which she joined in 2018. Prior to that, she served as a controller at Century Park Capital Partners, LLC from 2005 to 2012. Earlier in her career, Ms. Randle served as a controller at Worldview Technology Partners, Inc. from 2001 to 2005 and worked at KPMG from 1999 to 2001. Ms. Randle holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
Liyun Jin is expected to serve on our board of directors as an independent director . Ms. Jin is the co-founder and has been the General Partner of Atelier Ventures since July 2020. Previously, from 2016 to 2020, she was a Partner at Andreesen Horowitz. Prior to joining Andreesen Horowitz, she was a Product Manager at Shopkick from October 2013 to August 2016. She also worked as a corporate strategy associate at Capital One from September 2012 to October 2013. Ms. Jin holds an A.B. in statistics from Harvard University. We believe Ms. Jin is well qualified to serve on our board of directors given her experience advising and investing in consumer focused companies.
Erika Nardini is expected to serve on our board of directors as an independent director . Ms. Nardini currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Barstool Sports. Previously, from 2015 to 2016, she served as President and Chief Revenue Officer for Backstage. Before joining Backstage, Ms. Nardini was Chief Marketing Officer at AOL from 2013 to 2015. Ms. Nardini also served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Demand media from 2010 to 2012. Ms. Nardini holds a B.S. in Sociology and Philosophy from Colby College. We believe Ms. Nardini is well qualified to serve on our board of directors based on her extensive leadership and business experience.
Emmanuel Seuge is expected to serve on our board of directors as an independent director . Mr. Seuge currently serves as a Managing Partner at Cassius Family Management LLC, which he founded in January 2017. Prior to that, Mr. Seuge held various leadership roles in marketing, including Senior Vice President, Content Marketing, at Coca-Cola Co from July 1997 to September 2016. Mr. Seuge holds a degree in marketing strategy from ESCP Business School. We believe Mr. Seuge is well qualified to serve on our board of directors based on his significant investment experience in companies focusing on content and consumer products.
Nat Turner is expected to serve on our board of directors as an independent director . Mr. Turner has been serving as a General Partner at Operator Partners since March 2020. He also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Flatiron Health, Inc., which he founded in 2012. Previously, from 2010 to 2012, Mr. Turner worked in Product Management at Google. Mr. Turner currently serves on the board of directors of Clover Health Investments, Corp. He holds a B.S. in economics, marketing, and entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania. We believe Mr. Turner is well qualified to serve on our board of directors based on his extensive experience with startup companies.
