Leadership

Jihye Whang Rosenband has been our our Chief Executive Officer and Director since February 2021. Ms. Rosenband has over 20 years of semiconductor industry experience in various M&A, corporate strategy and engineering roles. Ms. Rosenband currently is the head of transaction related activity at Gaas Labs. Alongside our Executive Chairman, Ms. Rosenband also led corporate strategy and M&A at MACOM from 2010 to 2013. Previously, Ms. Rosenband served in strategy and corporate development roles at HPE Aruba Networks from November 2018 to December 2020 and RPX Corporation from April 2014 through August 2016. She started her career in engineering roles at MACOM and Hittite. Ms. Rosenband holds a B.S. and M. Eng. in Electrical Science and Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

We believe Ms. Rosenband is well qualified to serve as a Chief Executive Officer and a member of our board of directors due to her significant operational and investment experience and vast network of relationships.

Charles “Chuck” Bland has been our Chief Financial Officer since February 2021. Mr. Bland has served as a director of MACOM since December 2010. Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of MACOM from February 2011 to December 2012, and as its Chief Operating Officer from June 2010 to February 2011. From April 2007 through December 2010, Mr. Bland served as a director and as the chairman of the audit committee of NightHawk Radiology Holdings, Inc., a provider of teleradiology services. During 2009, Mr. Bland served as the Chief Financial Officer of American Gaming Systems, a privately-held designer, manufacturer and operator of gaming machines. Mr. Bland served as the Chief Financial Officer of Sirenza Microdevices, Inc. (“Sirenza”), a supplier of radio frequency semiconductors and related components for the commercial communications, consumer and aerospace, defense and homeland security equipment markets, from July 2005 through its sale to RF Micro Devices, Inc. in November 2007, and also as its Chief Operating Officer from May 2003 until July 2005. Mr. Bland received his B.S. in Accounting and Finance from The Ohio State University and his M.B.A. from the Sloan School, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

We believe Mr. Bland is well qualified to serve as a Chief Financial Officer due to his significant operational experience, his extensive finance background and vast network of relationships.

John Ocampo has been our Executive Chairman and Director since March 2021. Mr. Ocampo is the co-founder and President of Gaas Labs, as well as a key repository of entrepreneurial, operational and technology expertise for the semiconductor, components and electronics industry. Mr. Ocampo serves as Chairman for Gaas Labs current portfolio companies including MACOM. Mr. Ocampo has been at Gaas Labs since 2008, and he has served as a MACOM Chairman since 2009. Prior to creating Gaas Labs, Mr. Ocampo co-founded Sirenza Microdevices, Inc. (Nasdaq: SMDI), a supplier of radio frequency semiconductors and related components for communications, consumer, and aerospace and defense markets. While leading Sirenza through a successful IPO and eventual sale to RF Micro Devices, Inc., Mr. Ocampo served at various times in a number of key roles, including President and Chief Executive Officer, Chief Technology Officer and Chairman until November 2007. Prior to co-founding Sirenza, Mr. Ocampo served as General Manager at Magnum Microwave, an RF component manufacturer, and as Engineering Manager at Avantek, a telecommunications engineering company later acquired by Hewlett-Packard. Mr. Ocampo holds a B.S.E.E. from Santa Clara University.

We believe Mr. Ocampo is well qualified to serve as Executive Chairman and a member of our board of directors due to his extensive industry experience, serving as an executive and board member of several companies and vast network of relationships.

Peter Chung has been our Director since March 2021 and is Managing Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Summit. Mr. Chung joined Summit Partners in 1994 and focuses primarily on the technology sector. Mr. Chung has invested in more than 30 companies including 18 currently or formerly publicly traded companies. He is currently a director of A10 Networks, Inc., Empower RF Systems, Inc., MACOM, Sound Physicians, Inc. and Striim, Inc. His previous board and investment experience includes Acacia, AltoCom, Ditech Networks, E-TEK Dynamics, Finisar, GoldenGate Software, Sirenza, and Splash Technology. Prior to Summit, Mr. Chung worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions department of Goldman, Sachs & Co. He holds an AB in economics, magna cum laude, from Harvard University and an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

We believe Mr. Chung is well-qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors due to his investment expertise, his knowledge of the communications technology sector, his extensive experience as a board member of both privately-held and publicly-traded growth companies, and his vast network of relationships.

Alan Lowe has been Lumentum’s President and Chief Executive Officer since its spin-off from JDSU in 2015 and was President of JDSU's Communications and Commercial Optical Products business segment that ultimately became Lumentum from 2008. Under his leadership, Lumentum’s business has been transformed by focusing on the customer, investing in market-leading innovation, entering new markets such as 3D sensing for consumer mobile devices, and improving operational execution. Mr. Lowe joined JDSU in September 2007 as Senior Vice President of JDSU’s Commercial Lasers group. Before JDSU, Mr. Lowe was Senior Vice President, Customer Solutions at Asyst Technologies, Inc., a leader in automating semiconductor and flat panel display fabs. Prior to this role, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of Read-Rite Corporation, a manufacturer of thin-film recording heads for disk and tape drives. Mr. Lowe holds bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Business Economics from University of California, Santa Barbara and also completed the Stanford Executive Program.

We believe Mr. Lowe is well qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors due to his strategic and operational expertise, serving as an executive of several companies and vast network of relationships.

Gerald “Jerry” Quinnell served as Chief Investment Officer of Gaas Labs from 2008 to 2015, where he led the acquisition of MACOM. Previously, he held various executive positions at Sirenza from 1998-2007, including Chief Strategy Officer, Vice President of Business Development, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, and Chief Operating Officer. Prior to Sirenza, Mr. Quinnell served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the RF and Microwave business unit of Avnet, Inc. From 1988 to June 1997, Mr. Quinnell served as Chief Operating Officer of Penstock, Inc., an RF and microwave distribution company subsequently sold to Avnet, Inc. Mr. Quinnell holds a B.S. from the University of Phoenix.

We believe Mr. Quinnell is well qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors due to his strategic expertise, serving as an executive and advisor of several companies and vast network of relationships.

Robert “Bob” Van Buskirk , most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the cellular signal booster company, Wilson Electronics, from 2013 to 2016. Previously, Mr. Van Buskirk served as president of RF Micro Device's (RFMD) Multi-Market Products Group from November 2007 to March 2012. Prior to RFMD, Mr. Van Buskirk served as president, chief executive officer and director of Sirenza Microdevices, Inc., a provider of RF components, from 1999 through its acquisition by RFMD in November 2007. Prior to Sirenza, he served as the executive vice president of business development and operations at Multilink Technology Corporation, a company specializing in high bit-rate components for fiber optic systems and he held various senior management positions at TRW, an electronics systems and semiconductor technology provider. Mr. Van Buskirk holds a bachelor's degree from California State University, Long Beach in addition to the completion of the graduate executive program in finance/accounting and contract management at University of California, Los Angeles, with additional post-graduate course work in engineering management at Loyola Marymount University.

We believe Mr. Van Buskirk is well qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors due to his strategic expertise, serving as an executive and board member of several companies and vast network of relationships.
