Bruce Selkirk
Mr. Selkirk has agreed to serve as our Chief Executive Officer and as a member of our Board of Directors. Mr. Selkirk has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having served as a President and Chief Financial Officer of several E&P companies. He served as President and CEO of CRE 2 from July 2018 to January 2021 and CRE 1 from January 2015 to June 2018. Prior to CRE 1 and CRE 2, he served as President and CFO of Celero II. Prior to forming Celero II, Mr. Selkirk was Executive Vice President and CFO of Celero I. Also, he sourced Celero I’s most important asset, the Postle field, and led the effort to acquire the CO2 plant that is essential to that asset. Prior to forming Celero I, Mr. Selkirk was President of KLT, a subsidiary of Great Plains Energy, Inc. (NYSE: GXP). Mr. Selkirk was responsible for, and directed the successful disposition of, KLT’s assets. In 1998, Mr. Selkirk joined the management team led by Jon Brumley to create Encore. As CFO of Encore, Mr. Selkirk was instrumental in arranging, structuring, and negotiating a landmark venture capital financing to pursue oil and gas property acquisitions. In 1991, Mr. Selkirk joined NGP to assist the firm’s managing partners in evaluating and helping direct the firm’s investments in private and public securities. While at NGP, Mr. Selkirk was responsible for monitoring the progress of several NGP portfolio companies and, with respect to certain companies, acted as a de facto CFO to assist with financings and certain other matters. Mr. Selkirk graduated from Southern Methodist University with a BBA degree in Finance and Real Estate. Mr. Selkirk is involved in several nonprofit organizations including creating The Amy T. Selkirk Breast Cancer Vaccine Fund in partnership with Baylor Institute for Immunology Research. We believe Mr. Selkirk is qualified to serve on our board of directors due to his extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, including as CEO and CFO of several companies.
Preston Windham
Mr. Windham has agreed to serve as our Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Windham has over 26 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having served in a variety of operational, business development and engineering roles across several E&P companies. Mr. Windham has extensive experience working with Mr. Selkirk, having jointly-formed CRE 2 and worked together at CRE 1 and Encore. He served as Executive Vice President of Business Development of CRE 2 from July 2018 to January 2021 and CRE 1 from January 2015 to June 2018. Prior to CRE 1, he served as Western U.S. Division Manager of Jetta. Prior to Jetta, Mr. Windham served as Senior Petroleum Engineer for the Williston and Permian Basins and as Engineering Manager for the Mid-Continent Region for Encore. In 1997, Mr. Windham joined Union Pacific Resources to serve as a Petroleum Engineer for the South Texas Region. Mr. Windham started his career in the oil and gas industry in 1995 as a Petroleum Engineer for Burlington Resources Oil & Gas’ South Texas and Mid-Continent Regions. Mr. Windham graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS degree in Petroleum Engineering and as a Distinguished Military Graduate. Preston served ten years in the reserve component forces and departed service in 2004 at the rank of Captain with more than three years of company command experience in Alpha Company of the 536th Forward Support Battalion, 49th Armored Division.
Brett Estwanik
Mr. Estwanik has agreed to serve as a member of our Board of Directors. Mr. Estwanik has over 16 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having served in a variety of private equity and mergers & acquisitions roles. Mr. Estwanik currently serves as a Partner of Old Ironsides. Prior to joining Old Ironsides in 2013, Mr. Estwanik spent four years with Liberty Energy Holdings including serving as an Investment Officer responsible for the evaluation and execution of new opportunities and managing active investments in the firm’s private equity and oil and gas working interest portfolios. Mr. Estwanik currently serves on the board of directors of several Old Ironsides portfolio companies. Previously, Mr. Estwanik served as an Investment Associate at First Reserve Corporation and as an Analyst in the Natural Resources investment banking group at Banc of America Securities. Mr. Estwanik is also a member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America. Mr. Estwanik holds a BBA degree, with distinction, from the University of North Carolina and an MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business at the University of Virginia. We believe Mr. Estwanik is qualified to serve on our board of directors due to his significant investment experience in the energy industry and board experience.
Sean O’Neill
Mr. O’Neill has agreed to serve as a member of our Board of Directors. Mr. O’Neill has over 22 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having served in a variety of private equity and mergers & acquisitions roles. Mr. O’Neill currently serves as Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Old Ironsides. Prior to forming Old Ironsides in 2013, Mr. O’Neill spent nine years with Liberty Energy Holdings, including as a Senior Managing Director. He was responsible for sourcing, structuring, and managing the firm’s private equity and oil and gas working interest portfolios. From 2000 to 2004, Mr. O’Neill served as a Senior Associate in the Natural Resources group at Bank of America and its predecessor, FleetBoston Financial. Mr. O’Neill began his career in 1998 with Dynegy Marketing and Trade. Mr. O’Neill is a member of the Investment Committee of Old Ironsides and currently serves on the board of directors of several Old Ironsides portfolio companies as well as the board of directors of the Independent Petroleum Association of America. Mr. O’Neill is also on the Board of Overseers of Boston Children’s Hospital and was previously on the board of the Boston Children’s Museum. Mr. O’Neill holds a BA degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. We believe Mr. O’Neill is qualified to serve on our board of directors due to his significant investment experience in the energy industry and board experience.
Daniel Rioux
Mr. Rioux has agreed to serve as a member of our Board of Directors. Mr. Rioux has over 28 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having served in a variety of private equity and mergers & acquisitions roles. Mr. Rioux currently serves as Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Old Ironsides. Prior to forming Old Ironsides in 2013, Mr. Rioux was Co-President and CEO of Liberty Energy Holdings, where he shared responsibility for all of the company’s investment and management decisions. From 2001 to 2008, Mr. Rioux served as Vice President of Liberty Energy Holdings. From 1993 until 2000, Mr. Rioux was employed by Liberty Energy Corporation, a subsidiary of Liberty Energy Holdings, LLC. Mr. Rioux is a member of the Investment Committee of Old Ironsides and currently serves on the board of directors of several Old Ironsides portfolio companies. Mr. Rioux is a member of the advisory board of the USS Constitution Museum. Mr. Rioux holds a BBA degree in Finance from Bryant College and an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. We believe Mr. Rioux is qualified to serve on our board of directors due to his significant investment experience in the energy industry and board experience.
Mark Welsh IV
Mr. Welsh has agreed to serve as a member of our Board of Directors. Mr. Welsh has over 20 years of experience in private equity, venture capital, and mergers & acquisitions across multiple sectors. Mr. Welsh currently serves as CEO of Bear Man Capital LLC, a venture capital firm investing in growth companies in the financial services, business services and energy sectors. He serves on the boards of selected portfolio companies including CapTex Bank, a regulated commercial bank in Fort Worth, Texas, and Vosburg Welsh, LLC, a leading provider of subsurface utility mapping for major commercial construction projects, including energy infrastructure projects such as wind farms. Mr. Welsh spent a large portion of his career at EnCap where he started as an associate and ultimately served as a partner. While at EnCap, he assisted in originating, evaluating and managing numerous investments, and served on the boards of two dozen portfolio companies. Mr. Welsh previously served as a vice president of The Adam Corporation, a private holding company, and started his career as an analyst with The Blackstone Group LP in New York. Mr. Welsh holds a BBA degree in Finance from Texas A&M University where he received the Brown-Rudder Outstanding Graduate Award and served as Commander of the Corps of Cadets. Mr. Welsh is active in philanthropy with his alma mater and in supporting children with Type 1 Diabetes. We believe Mr. Welsh is qualified to serve on our board of directors due to his extensive investment experience in the energy industry.
Cynthia Jaggi
Ms. Jaggi has agreed to serve as a member of our Board of Directors. Ms. Jaggi has over 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having served in a variety of roles across several energy-focused companies.
Ms. Jaggi is Partner & CEO of Post & Beam Partners, LLC, a private real estate investing firm out of Dallas, TX. Prior to Post & Beam, Ms. Jaggi was a Principal at NGP Energy Capital Management where she supported portfolio companies, including being COO of Black Mountain Sand for management transition. Prior to NGP, she spent 13 years at Enlink Midstream where she held roles of increasing leadership responsibility, including leading the Oklahoma asset team, creating and leading technology and business process transformation initiatives, and developing and leading the capital project program for the organization.
Ms. Jaggi earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
W. Brett Smith
W. Brett Smith will serve as a member of our Board of Directors. Mr. Smith has over 39 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, having served in a variety of roles across several energy-focused companies. Mr. Smith currently serves as a director on the boards of the general partners of Energy Transfer LP (NYSE: ET) and USA Compression Partners LP (NYSE: USAC); he serves as a member of ET’s audit committee and USAC’s audit and compensation committees. Mr. Smith has served as President and Managing Partner of Rubicon Oil & Gas, LLC since October 2000, President of Quientesa Royalty LP since February 2005, and President of Action Energy LP since October 2008. He served as president of Rubicon Oil & Gas II, LP from May 2005 until December 2020. Prior, Mr. Smith was President of Rubicon Oil & Gas I, LP from October 2000 to May 2005. He was with Collins & Ware, Inc., from 1987 - 1997 and served as Vice President of Exploration from 1997 - October 2000. For more than 39 years Mr. Smith has been active in assembling exploration prospects in the Permian Basin, Oklahoma, New Mexico, and the Rocky Mountain areas. Mr. Smith previously served on the board of directors of Sunoco LP (NYSE: SUN) and was a member of its audit and compensation committees. We believe Mr. Smith is qualified to serve on our board of directors due to his significant investment experience in the energy industry and extensive board experience.
