David Lincoln has served as our Chair and a member of our board of directors since inception in March 2021. David has been a prominent investor in venture and growth equity for over 25 years and has founded and led multiple firms in the energy and clean technology sectors. David is a Managing Director of Activate Capital, an affiliate of our sponsor and a growth equity investment firm dedicated to growth technology companies in sustainable energy, transportation, and industrial innovation, which he co-founded in May 2017. David is also a General Partner of Element Partners, a series of funds dedicated to a broad range of investments in sustainable innovation and clean technology, which he founded in September 2004. From August 1996 until June 2005, David was a co-founder and Managing Director of EnerTech Capital, a venture capital firm focused on investing specifically in the deregulation and transition of the global electric markets. Previously, David served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Deven Resources, Inc., a private equity firm dedicated to the acquisition and development of energy properties, from 1991 to 1996; was a partner with CMS Companies, a Philadelphia-based investment and financial services firm, from 1984 to 1991; and began his career at UGI Corporation, a diversified energy and utility holding company in Valley Forge, PA, from 1981 to 1984.

Tim Healy has served as our Chief Executive Officer and as a member of our board of directors since inception in March 2021. Tim is an experienced Executive Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and entrepreneur, with a demonstrated history scaling businesses in the information technology, energy, and managed services industries. He has experience in public markets leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, mentorship, finance, clean tech, distributed energy, battery storage, energy services, ESCOs, ESPC, global energy markets, regulatory policy, and mergers and acquisitions.

Jake Susman has served as our Chief Financial Officer and as a member of our board of directors since inception in March 2021. Jake has been involved in investing in and operating energy innovation businesses, and developing and originating renewable energy businesses and projects since 1999. From December 2020 to the present, Jake has been an investor and advisor to companies in the sustainable infrastructure space, and a private investor in emerging clean economy companies. In June 2019, Jake was one of four partners who founded Mission Driven Capital Partners, a growth capital fund targeting investments in corporate sustainability, and he served as a partner until it merged into Goldman Sachs in December 2020. In March 2007, Jake founded OwnEnergy, Inc., a specialist wind development firm targeting the industry’s mid-market. He served as Chief Executive Officer from founding in March 2007 until its sale to EDF Renewables in August 2015. Following the sale of OwnEnergy, Jake served as Vice President and Head of Origination for EDF Renewables from August 2015 to June 2019, where he was the executive leader of customer-facing activities in its U.S. Grid Scale Power business, with a primary focus on originating long-term power contracts with corporate and utility customers. From August 2004 to March 2007, he worked for Goldman Sachs as an investor, with a focus on renewable energy investments such as Horizon Wind Energy. Earlier in his career, from November 1999 to March 2002, Jake was a Project Manager in Spain for AES Corporation, a global power company, where he focused on the development of large-scale power plants. Prior to that, Jake was a corporate banker with CoreStates from September 1997 to September 1999.

John Woolard will be appointed as a member of our board of directors in connection with the consummation of this offering. John has more than 20 years of experience as an executive in the energy technology sector and brings experience in developing clean energy projects, a technological background and understanding of software and grid modernization solutions. Currently, John is the Chief Executive Officer of Meridian Clean Energy, LLC, a position he has held since January 2021. From March 2018 to January 2021, John served as Chief Executive Officer of Meridian Energy Partners, its predecessor. From October 2016 to March 2018, John served as an advisor to Activate Capital and began the work that ultimately led to the founding of Meridian Energy Partners. From July 2014 to October 2016, John served as the Vice President of Energy at Google, where he focused on Google’s global energy strategy through investment in new technology and energy projects. Previously John served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of BrightSource Energy, Inc., from 2006 to 2013, where he led the development, construction, and commissioning of over $2.2 billion of solar power plants. John co-founded energy management software company Silicon Energy in 1997, and served as the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman as he led its growth through the acquisition by Itron in 2003. He then served as Vice President and General Manager of the Energy Management Solutions Group at Itron through 2005. John is currently a member of the board of directors of PG&E Corporation, a position he has held since October 2019. John is also an operating partner at Activate Capital.

Katie McGinty will be appointed as a member of our board of directors in connection with the consummation of this offering. Katie is Vice President & Chief Sustainability, Government and Regulatory Affairs Officer for Johnson Controls International plc (“JCI”), a leading energy efficiency and buildings technology company, where she has served in such capacity since May 2019. Katie helps drive JCI’s sustainability performance, including recognition as one of the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations and a AAA MSCI ESG Rating, and government policies encouraging smart buildings and energy efficiency. Prior to joining JCI, Katie served as Senior Vice President, Oceans of the Environmental Defense Fund from July 2018 to May 2019. From March 2017 to February 2018, Katie was a partner at Militia Hill Ventures, a position she took after running for the U.S. Senate from August 2015 to November 2016. Katie has over 25 years of public and private sector experience. A recognized innovator in clean energy and environmental protection, Ms. McGinty champions technology development, sustainability, and creative policies to solve tough environmental problems. Her public sector career includes serving as Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality and as Deputy Director of Environment to Bill Clinton and Vice President Al Gore from 1993 to 1998, as Pennsylvania Secretary of Environmental Protection from 2003 to 2008, and as Chair of the Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority from 2004 to 2008.

April Salas will be appointed as a member of our board of directors in connection with the consummation of this offering. April brings nearly 20 years of public and private sector experience in global and domestic energy markets, rooted in energy systems analysis. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Revers Center for Energy at Dartmouth College’s Tuck School of Business, a position she has held since June 2016. Mrs. Salas also serves as the Chief Sustainability Officer of the town of Hanover, New Hampshire’s first city to join the Sierra Club’s Ready for 100 program, where she has led portfolio strategy for deploying power, thermal and transportation-related procurement to help Hanover reach its 2030 and 2050 targets since April 2018. In addition, Mrs. Salas is the Chief Operating Officer of Re:Public, a map-based application helping users understand and mitigate risk, a position she has held since March 2020. She is also a Board Director of 3Degrees Group, a position she has held since February 2021.

Tom King will be appointed as a member of our board of directors in connection with the consummation of this offering. Tom is the Board Chair of three dynamic utility services contractor holding companies: Entregado Group, Inc., Allied Power Group, & Contract Land Staff, positions he has held since November 2017. With over 30 years in utility infrastructure management, Tom serves as strategic advisor to each company’s management team, crystalizing the vision, identifying opportunities to leverage scale, and promoting continued growth. Previously, Tom led two of the nation’s largest utilities, serving as Chief Executive Officer for PG&E from August 2003 to July 2007 and then National Grid U.S. from July 2007 to April 2015. Prior to PG&E, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Kinder Morgan Energy Partners from January 1996 to September 1998.
