Leadership
Christopher Capozzi, our Chief Executive Officer , serves as a Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Quiet Capital. Prior to joining Quiet Capital in January 2021, Mr. Capozzi served as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Freedom Financial Network in 2020 and as Freedom’s Chief Financial Officer from 2017 through 2019. From 1999 through 2016, Mr. Capozzi held a series of leadership roles at General Electric including Chief Financial Officer of GE Water & Process Technologies, Chief Financial Officer of GE Capital Corporate Finance, and the Chief Risk Officer of General Electric. Mr. Capozzi holds a BS from Boston College and an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
Lee Linden, our Director and Chairman , serves as a Founder and Managing Partner of Quiet Capital. Mr. Linden co-leads Quiet Capital’s Venture Capital Investment Committee. Prior to founding Quiet Capital in 2017, Mr. Linden co-founded Tapjoy, Inc., a leading ad-tech company, in 2008, and Karma Science, Inc., an innovative social commercial business that was subsequently acquired by Facebook, in 2011. Mr. Linden has angel invested in more than 300 companies and has served as a board director or in a formal advisory role for a number of others, including Reinvent Technology Partners Z. As a proven investor and well-recognized serial founder and CEO for a diverse set of businesses, he is often called upon by a wide range of entrepreneurs looking for strategic and tactical advice. Mr. Linden received his B.S.E. in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and his M.B.A. from Stanford University. Mr. Linden’s significant investment and leadership experience make him well qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors.
Matthew Humphrey, our Director and Vice Chairman , serves as a Founder and Managing Partner of Quiet Capital. Mr. Humphrey co-leads Quiet Capital’s Venture Capital Investment Committee. Prior to joining Quiet Capital in January 2021, Mr. Humphrey served as Co-Founder and CEO of LendingHome, the largest online lender to residential real estate investors, from October 2013 to December 2020. He helped scale LendingHome to a team of 300+ individuals, $6 billion in loan originations, $100 million of revenue, and profitability. Prior to that, Mr. Humphrey built an ecommerce platform, called HomeRun, that he sold for over $100 million less than 18 months after launch. Before that, he founded 4 other technology startups and angel invested in more than 100. Mr. Humphrey grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and earned a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University where he matriculated at age 13. Mr. Humphrey’s extensive investment, management and leadership experience make him well qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors.
Kabir Masson, our Secretary , serves as Partner and General Counsel of Quiet Capital. Mr. Masson brings decades of experience as an attorney and operations professional in private funds. Prior to joining Quiet Capital in 2020, Mr. Masson served as Deputy General Counsel & CCO at GI Partners, a private equity and real estate investment firm, where he oversaw the legal operations for several different billion dollar funds and strategies, from April 2017 to October 2020. From May 2013 to April 2017, Mr. Masson worked as legal counsel for Deutsche Bank's alternatives platform, and Mr. Masson has also previously worked for Cleary Gottlieb in New York as a private funds attorney, and as an operations manager at Google. He received a B.A. and B.S. from Stanford University, and a J.D./M.B.A. from Columbia Law School and Columbia Business School.
Brad Stroh is a distinguished technology investor, entrepreneur, and thought leader. Since 2002, Mr. Stroh has served as the co-Founder and co-CEO of Freedom Financial Network, a leader in consumer finance solutions, and, since 2005, Mr. Stroh has served as the Founder and CEO of bills.com, an online platform that enables consumers to evaluate aspects of their financial health and develop solutions. Additionally, he is currently a guest lecturer at Stanford University on scaling and managing enterprises. He has served on a number of private and non-profit boards, is currently a member of the US Lacrosse Foundation Board, sits on Amherst College’s President’s Council and has been a member of Young Presidents’ Organization for many years. Brad received his M.B.A. from Stanford Business School, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar, and received a B.A. from Amherst College. Mr. Stroh’s extensive investment, management and leadership experience make him well qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors.
Michael Preysman is the founder and CEO of Everlane, a digital-first apparel brand with a mission to bring radical transparency and sustainability to the supply chain, and has held these positions at Everlane since its founding in 2011. By sharing the true cost and markup of each product and providing detail on the factory process, Everlane has built an international community of conscious consumers and set a new standard for consumer brands. In recent years, Everlane has put environmental impact front and center through commitments in its supply chain to eliminate all virgin plastic by 2021 and to transition to organic cotton by 2023. Everlane has millions of customers along with seven national retail locations. Mr. Preysman is a supporter of multiple environmental movements, championing a new wave of conscious consumption. Prior to founding Everlane, Mr. Preysman was an investor at Elevation Partners. Mr. Preysman received a B.S. in Computer Engineering and Economics from Carnegie Mellon University. Mr. Preysman is well qualified to serve on our board of directors because of his extensive management history and experience in building businesses across various industries.
Khozema Shipchandler is the Chief Financial Officer of Twilio, a leading cloud communications company. Mr. Shipchandler joined Twilio in November 2018 and oversees the Finance, Investor Relations, Corporate Development, Business Operations, Business Intelligence, Cyber Security, Sourcing and Real Estate teams. Prior to joining Twilio in November 2018, Mr. Shipchandler worked at General Electric, where he held a variety of global positions over 22 years, including GE Digital’s Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and EVP of Corporate Development as well as GE’s Vice President of Corporate Audit Staff. Mr. Shipchandler received a B.A. in Biology and English, with a minor in Economics from Indiana University and completed graduate coursework at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
Jessica Holscott is an experienced financial executive across technology and media. Since March 2019, Ms. Holscott has worked at WarnerMedia, where she is currently Chief Financial Officer of the Studio and Networks Group. From July 2018 to August 2020, Ms. Holscott was Chief Financial Officer of HBO, and, from April 2016 to June 2018, Ms. Holscott served as the Head of Investor Relations and Merger Planning at WarnerMedia. In addition to these roles, Ms. Holscott was previously Vice President of Investor Relations & Treasurer of Delphi and Chief Financial Officer of General Electric Asset Management. Ms. Holscott received her B.S. in Finance from the University of Dayton. Ms. Holscott’s extensive investment, management and leadership experience make her well qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors.
Payal Kadakia is the founder and Executive Chairman of ClassPass, where Ms. Kadakia has worked since 2011. Since 2011, ClassPass has been revolutionizing the fitness and wellness industry by bringing together the world’s best classes and experiences into one app. Prior to founding ClassPass, Ms. Kadakia worked as a consultant at Bain & Company and in Warner Music Group’s Digital Strategy and Business Development Group. Ms. Kadakia is also the Founder and Artistic Director of Sa Dance Company. Ms. Kadakia holds a B.S. from MIT in Operations Research and Economics. Ms. Kadakia’s extensive investment, management and leadership experience make her well qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors.
Edward Lando is an active angel investor in hundreds of early stage startups. In addition to being an angel investor since August 2014, Mr. Lando has served as Managing Partner at Pareto Holdings since March 2020. Mr. Lando is currently a board member at Misfits Market, Atom Finance, and several other privately held companies. Since May 2020, he has served as the co-founder and CEO of Goody Technologies, Inc., a mobile gifting platform. Prior to that, Edward was a co-founder at the Horizons School, a high quality technology coding school, and a co-founder of GovPredict, which was recently acquired. He received a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Lando’s extensive investment, management and leadership experience make him well qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors.
Samvit Ramadurgam is the Founder and Co-Chairman of Destiny (D/XYZ), an investment management company that provides public access to the private tech markets. Prior to founding Destiny in 2020, Mr. Ramadurgam was the Founder and Co-CEO of Forge, a global private securities marketplace building trading, custody, and data infrastructure to meet the needs of high-growth unicorn companies, employees, and investors, from 2014 to 2020. Prior to starting Forge in 2014, Mr. Ramadurgam attended the Y Combinator program and founded Streem, a cloud storage company that was acquired by Box to become Box Drive. Mr. Ramadurgam is an active angel investor and frequently invests in startups through S2 Capital, where he serves as founding partner. Over the years, Mr. Ramadurgam has invested in and worked with over 200 startups, notably including companies like Rappi, Rippling, Notion, Astranis, Retool, Superhuman, and Payfazz. Mr. Ramadurgam holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley. Mr. Ramadurgam’s extensive investment, management and leadership experience make him well qualified to serve as a member of our board of directors.
